Hey hey everyone just wanted to say a few things so here we go.
First the events and circumstances in my life have trumped my online activity and artistic endeavors as of late, in other words as a great prince once said “Now this is the story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down.”
I won’t go into all the gory details but I’m at one of those weird bittersweet crossroads in life as well as dealing with my parent’s health issues. Where all this ends up I don’t know but I do know that sometimes you just have go along with the ride, as the late great Bill Hicks once said, “Life just a ride”.
Weird, I’m quoting a lot today.
But anyway that’s that.
However there is some good news! *applause* I ended up being able to make it to Heroes Con 2010 this year after all. Although I was totally not ready for it (people were upset that I was banner less, sans-banner if you will) I had an absolute blast.
Now profit wise this con sucked donkey dick but I blame that on not being ready and of course not having a banner. I also blame BP and President Obama. It’s all related trust me, and if you want to know more let me know and I will mail you pamphlets. I can’t go into it all now but long story short…the Illuminati and Nazi sharks are behind my lack of profits this year.
But back to the ‘having a blast part’ of my story. So uh…yeah I had a blast. I hung out with some of my buddies from Penciljack.com and we had a jolly good time. Such as the great Loston Wallce stopped by the table for a couple hours. I can’t thank Loston enough for the great advice and quite frankly inspiration. Loston is a true class act and if you don’t follow him on Deviant now then shame on you. Shame I say!
I also hung out with Jeremy Dale (whose auction piece for the con rocked by the way) and his lovely wife Kelly. Again Jeremy & Kelly gave me some great advice (such as where to get a frikkin’ banner) as well as introducing me to many super cool people. One of the highlights of the weekend is when we all went out to eat on Saturday. Great times AND no on lost an eye! Doesn’t get any better than that folks.
Although it pains me to say this I must also mention the awesomely awesome Danielle Soloud or as I call her, Judy from Russia. Despite the fact she called me a Dick, Fuckface, jerk and “not a very nice person” it was really fun hanging out with her. I picked up her sketchbook, which I suggest doing by the way for the low low price of $10, and she even included a sketch with it. Danielle’s art is not only great but also has a very fun style and she is Awe-SUM person, even though she swears a lot. Or maybe it’s just me she swears at? Wait come to think of it a lot of people swear at me. Hmmm….
Moving on.
Also at the show was the stupendous Bryan Fowler (who I was splitting a table with), my old friend Henry Eudy, and my ol con buddy the super funny Bill Meiggs. Again if you don’t know these guys be sure to follow them because not only are they great artists they are just great people.
Lastly I apologize for only briefly being able to speak with Nate Lovett, Paul Maybury and Jonathan Moore and anyone else I may have missed. All you guys (and ladies) are not only great artists but also great people. Well except for a couple of you and I think we all know who I’m talking about.
I will start trying to post more and get back in the groove everyone. Like I said earlier I’ve just been going through a rough patch but you guys made me forget about all that crap this weekend and I really appreciate it.
Thank you.

FYI: I'm on Instagram
I should have mentioned this earlier but I'm on Instagram now folks. I do (almost) daily updates of sketches and doodles. Also it's an art feed, so there won't be any selfies or photos of what I'm eating, but don't be surprised if you a photo of your mom shows up. :p
Inflate my fragile ego and follow me: http://www.instagram.com/manji675
Thanks so much folks!
Awesome Con this weekend! See me at F12
Greetings all. I'll just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be attending the Awesome Con in DC this weekend. It's my first time doing this show so I'm excited. Although, I joined the con a couple months back I wasn't sure if I was attending or not for sure until earlier in the week.
Anyway I'll be doing commissions, selling prints and possibly begging for food.
Hope to see you there.
Hey I'm back!
Hello everyone. Long time no post. Anyway, I'm getting back to posting art at DA again and look forward to sharing and meeting new people!
I'm also revamping my website (headstatic.com) so excuse the mess. I am open for commissions and would love to hear from you.
HEROES CON 2011!
Hey everyone I know it's been a million years since my last entry. Ok so it's almost been a year but still that is a really long time. Instead of serving up reasons and excuses as to why I'll just simply say that I'm sorry and I will get back to posting artwork again on a regular basis.
But now for some good news! I'll be at the Heroes Comic Convention this year (http://www.heroesonline.com/heroescon/) at space SP-22. I'll be doing sketches, commissions and sketch cards this year so I hope to see you there.
Oh and just to get the ball rolling in the right direction if you want to get on my list early I will take $20 off my normal convention
