Wait. Minion sounds too needy doesn’t it? How about sycophants? No? Hmmm… What about acolytes? Yeah acolyte sounds a lot cooler. Ok let’s try that again.

Greetings! My loyal and sexy acolytes (oh yeah much better) how is everyone doing? Just thought I would pop in to let everyone know what is going on and why I haven’t been posting that much art lately and by “that much” I mean “no artwork.”

The first and main reason is because I have been a little lazy. Not meaning that I haven’t been drawing because I have, it’s just everything has been pencil and paper and I have just been too lazy to scan anything. I know I know I’m a lazy bum but I swear as soon as I scan it I’m posting it. Plus a lot of it has just been doodles and figure work so most of it will end up in the scraps section.

The second is that all of the finished work I have been producing I can’t post due to NDAs. NDA is an industry term for “Don’t post it until I print it moron!” But as soon as those NDAs expire I’ll be posting ‘em here and on my site. ([link])

Speaking of my site, I have redesigned and tweaked it so I encourage (encourage = beg) everyone to stop by and check it out. ([link]) I’m also back to posting my awesome blog ([link]) again as well as my twitter ([link]). I have to admit that the whole Twitter thing has surprised me because I have already gotten a couple of leads from it. Pretty cool

Let’s see what else? Oh yeah I have been offered a teaching position at the Charlotte Art League where I will be teaching an introductory course in figure drawing. I don’t have a schedule carved in stone yet but I can tell that I will be teaching this coming Saturday. This whole thing has transpired pretty quickly but should prove to be a lot of fun. I hope.

Lastly I have been selected to do sketch cards for the upcoming Marvel 70th anniversary set! I’m really excited about the project and although I know it’s a lot of work I still think it’s a great opportunity and I’m looking forward to the project.
